my brother just bought a 87 integra with this engine. beings that I'm no where near a honda person what kind is this one? H22? b16A? I'm just curious.

looks like its got dohc and not a vtec, if it was i think it would have an emblem saying vtec.

If it's factory, D16A1. Doesn't look like it's been swapped, so odds are, it's some D16A variant.

i know nothing about hondas...... but i do know that it needs some extensive cleaning!!!!! i would get it steamcleaned..

Looks factory to me. Did the guy he bought it from say it had a swap? Because the only way you are going to get an H22 or B16A in that car is with a swap.

steam cleaning is the worst thing you can do to an engine
