well tonight finally im content with my car, i bought my 98 T/A right before winter and wasn't able to drive it hard very much due to crappy weather ...but tonight it was nice out and the roads are now clean so i decided to have a little fun
btw never knew the new mustang GT's where as slow as they are
has anyone else had similar things happen to them where at first they didn't like there car and then something happen that made that change a little
Not really... I've never gone in on a car that I didn't like.
well at first i loved the car because it looks hot and has bolt loads of power...once that wore thin and i realized that i missed the pure refinement my bmw 328i then thats when i became a little unsettled about what i purchased
but im ok with it now
as stupid as all this might seem.
the trans am put a smile on my face it just did it in a different manner then my last car did
I wouldn't be unhappy with an LSx motor.
i did not like my ss/sc ....at the beggining ....... but i like it now more then ever

congrats. i know how you feel as i dont love my car sometimes whenever it gives me a hard time. the more you drive it/learn it and get complimented on it, the more you will like it.

Yea, I didn't need full throttle at all.
I have loved my car from day one, never hated it.. besides when it had problems, then I had a few choice words. When it comes down to it though, if my car were ever totaled or I had to sell it, I would cry like a little baby.

I do know how you felt. i felt that way about my Z24.
A year later I was comfortable with it and it was a fun car to whip around in.
But at first i thought it was kinda boring.

At first, I love my cavalier. I thought it was the greatest thing alive. Until, I found out what I could have gotten (ls sport and/or z24) But now, I'm pretty much happy with what I drive and I know most people on j-body can't say that about their cavaliers.

anyways what do the new mustangs gt's run in the 1/4 mile? to me it seemed like it was fast but not a low 13 sec car which is what people keep telling me it is

also what do A4 LS1 T/A's run in 1/4mile all i have are SLP loudmouth exhaust , SLP lid / filter and ws6 suspension and wheels..well whatever it was i know its faster then the GT lol

I love my car! But i promise you, Ill be bored with it in another year and will need to: A) do some major mods and bump up the HP or B) search for something else, (which i would hate to do since i really do love my car). I do have a problem with cars though. I dont think i could really ever be 100% satisfied with ANY car. Its an illness im sure. So far the longest ive kept any of my seven cars was 2 years (my Prelude). Other than my winter beater escort i had for 3 years (couldnt kill it with 262K on it when i sold it).

At first I didnt like my Contour but now I really like it. Its a great reliable car with a zetec engine.

Most new stock mustang GTs are a high 13 second car stock. You will get someone who claims they saw one run a 13.2 or w/e stock but its more than likely BS.
I have yet to see a new GT break into 12s and I have seen 3 of them w/ superchargers run.
