Also since the last pics Ive added some of the chrome trim and the spotlight
Tim I hate you just because you remind me I need to get my ass in gear on my 57!
Looks really good by the way really feel the two tone is way better on that car.
I want to see the pics of the new trim and spotlight as well.
Also I noticed you painted the rims black, are you going to go with wide whites at some point and add some hubs or what?
How many steps to heaven, Doc?
...Ah, metaphysics.
Thanks nate!
And Jonathan, ultimately I do want to put some 15s on with wide whites, but Im happy with these wheels now. You can actually see the trim in the pic, the beltline and the fender guard.
Heres a pic of the spotlight. I actually got the whole thing in terrible condition from a buddy, got a new bulb and a new shaft from my pop, and added a rearview mirror. The emblem on the mirror is the steering wheel emblem off a 55 chev.
Ill get some more pics tommorrow
Yeah I forgot I saw the new fender guard on there it looks great. Its similar to the look of my buddys 52 Ford Box coupe.
Cept he threw a 289 in that one!

Ya, I thought about putting an 8 in, but I just love the sound of a uncapped straight 6

YEah, I had toyed around with the idea of getting one of my neighbours' Pontiac Chieftain (I THINK it was a 46... but don't quote me) and messing with it, but reality dawned on me:
- I have no Garage, or lift.
- No tools (well nothing more than a few box-end/socket wrenches and screwdrivers)
- and no real depth of automotive knowledge.
Yeah... I worked on my Sunbird and sunfire for a while, and then gave up, I'm a computer geek.
lookin good....but that thing is screamin for a 5" chop!

Dude a Chieftain would be sweet! Yeah I dont have a lift or anything, just a cheap orbital sander random tools and what not, my one friend that has been helping me with it has been so busy and it helps when hes around, things get done way faster.

I'm a poncho guy at heart
I feel weird not having a Grand Am or something in the parking slip. If I had the funds and time, I'd see if I could get a Goodmark repro Camaro body and turn it into a Firebird, or a Camaro RS. I wouldn't get into a lead sled now, as cool as they are.
And I can sympathise about having a friend to help out... I needed help doing the lower Intake Mainfold Gasket on my Alero, and found out I was out of my bloody depth because I didn't have stuff to keep my bolts separated.
Real NIce.
