MAF Sensor KILL car? NO power, BAD bogging, stalls with AC on? HELP(on my mazda)

So My guess is my Mass Airflow sensor has gone bad?

The symptoms, I have a HUGE power loss overall, the car is REALLY boggy at start, i have to rev up to about 3k RPM and ease the clutch in to take off, and My power band from 4500-7000 is GONE it seems like it takes a good 15-20 seocnds to climb from 4500-7000RPM. And If I have the AC on, It is inpossible to start from stop, The car Boggs out and almost stalls when you touch the gas,

Whats wrong!??!?!

I Am missing my Post-cat 02 sensor because of my aftermarket header but It has been gone for months so i doubt its the problem

I HAVE Cleared the Codes and Re-set the computer with No change
I have also Cleaned my MAF sensor!

My second guess is a clogged cat, but the flow at the tip seems fine.

any help is apreciated!

had that type of problem with a 4.6L 4Cam V8 in my lincoln mark viii it was the MAF wiring was bad it would run fine the die when in gear but idle rufly in neutral my MAF was good but if its not ur wirings "plugin" for MAF than it is the maf and do u run a K&N air filter? if u do u could have ruined the MAF ive had that happen once because of over oiling of the filter and they can come from the factory over oiled u might want to try a new MAF or USED

a way to test the MAF sensor is to unplug it and see if the engine straightens up if it does the MAF sensor is bad if it don't its still good and the problems some where else. my guess is it could be a vaccum leak, but taking out the O2 sensor will affect the overall performance of your car. check fuel pressure, vaccum leaks, and basic wiring. good luck.

Before you replace the MAF, there are cleaners out there that you can use.

It could be alot of different things. You could have a fouled plug, and be missing on a cyl, you could have a coil going bad, your computer could be going bad, TPS could be shot, injector, fuel pump, fuel reg..... theres WAY too many things that fit the description.

First thing to do, like stated above, disconnect the MAF, if its the problem, the car will start running right again.(computer will load the backup and car will run like 90% perfect). If nothing changes, then its not your MAF. Check your plugs, clean or replace as needed... if that doesnt do anything, test them to see if they are sparking. If that does nothing, unplug your TPS, and see if anything changes. (once again, if it reads 0V, the computer will automaticly run off only the MAF sensor to run the car) If not that... then you need to get ahold of a fuel pressure tester, and check that. If thats good... well then my last guess would be the computer...

Oh, and a clogged cat does not seem likely... but just in case... run the car for a little while, and check to see if the cat is glowing. If it is, then it could be clogged, or the car could just be running too rich... which means a lack of spark problem.

Ehhhhh you know its really hard to diagnose this stuff over the internet... good luck.
