NASCAR's "Car of Tomorrow"

Did you all get a look at this?

In the quest for money and respectability Nascar is moving further and further away from what made it cool in the first place. Watching cars that you maybe-sorta-maybe could have built yourself race at 140mph. What killed Dale Earnhardt wasn't that his car wasn't safe. Nascar cars are notoriously safe. It's that they've gotten too fast. Pure and simple. Most races have cars that are a lot faster than Nascar and, in the case of Rallye cars, crash a whole lot more often. However, because those Nascar just goes round and round in an endless freakin' oval, speeds are getting out of control. Basically they should have implemented a new safer undercarriage a long time ago, but the whole ugly ass aero exterior has got to go. Race the cars as they look or not at all. Watching a bunch of paperweight/doorstops with wheels go fast is no fun. Hell, I think they should have a Nascar Classics race where old body styles are used. That would attract a hell of a lot more people. Want to keep the cars from going too fast? Put a speed limiter and electronic monitoring systems on the cars. Top speed 150mph, the end.

its a total change, I don't like the fact they put speed limiters on them, hell I don't like it when they put it on normal cars (not that I ever go that fast anyway I just dont like to be known that I am restricted)

**changes are here**

I am fine with the car overall. And if this is the future of NASCAR, they had better go ahead and just run them at all of the races next year.

And I think that complaining about the look of the cars lost all merit years ago.

For example when they adopted the same body for all of the cars, which I thought they went with the Ford body, so all of the cars would be equal. So on the outside there hasn't been a manufacturers difference, other than vinyl headlights for a couple of years now.

I also think NASCAR lost a lot in the looks department when they went away from actually basing the race cars on the street car bodies. Love it or like it, I don't think we would of ever had cars like the Pontiac 2+2 or the Monte Carlo Aerocoupe, if the race cars were not actually based on production cars.
