i recently installed a head unit into my brothers dodge shadow and everything went smooth except for one thing. when you turn it up semi-loud or even just a little the speakers crackle really bad and eventually cut out. does anyone know what the cause of this is? ever hear of it? i think it's kinda weird how their is no rear speakers either, just the ones in the front doors. gotta love them old mopars. if anyone could help me out i'd be thankful

You have wires crossed, check your work. Don't tell me you used black tape to put the wires together?

Use butt connectors if you did use black tape.

maybe the deck is outputting more wattage then the stock head unit and the crappy speakers can't handle the load.....
