hey, most of you probably don't remember me, I havent been on in forever. Just thought i would drop buy and post up my new truck.
Its a 2007 chevy silverado, has the 4.3 vortec, 195 hp, its pretty much a base model except for AT, Dual Climate AC, and Cd player. So far i've installed a tonneau cover, remote starter/power locks, and a billit grill,
I still have a few other things i would like to get done to it but only time will tell
Heres the cavi, I sold it a while back, ended up getting 1500 for it w/out rims. Still have them if anybody is interested, email me about it.

Nice truck, personally I wouldn't have gone with anything less than the 5.3 but its your truck. I have tossed around the idea a few times of getting myself a truck. If I did it would probably be exactly what you have there only with a 5.3. So how does it feel to go from a cavy to a truck like that?
Any idea which direction you're going to take it? I mean big wheels or big tires?
its great, the cavi was my first car i've owned, the rest being trucks.it lasted 2 + years but I was getting bored with it. I was gonna get a silverado or a cobalt, I needed something to haul my quad and what not around ,so i went with the truck. Its great not hearing the rattles and such that that cavi had. only think i really miss with the cavi was the gas milage.
as for the 4.3, Im driving an average of 450 miles a week so i wanted the extra mpg.. Money was a key factor in it too
I just saw you wheel/tire comment...
Not really sure kinda tossing that around right now, its got 17" wheels on it so i could pick up a nice set of 17's and use my existing tires, It would be nice to get a set of 20 or 22", but they can be pricey so i dont know.
I forgot to mentinon i have a K&N air filter installed and LineX bed liner
a few of the future mods i have planned are
-Chrome handle inserts
-35 or 50% window tint( i got pulled over for 35% on the cavi so im not sure yet)
-Billit Gas Door
-Rims
Do NOT do a billet gas door, they look out of place and look like crap.
Over all that is a nice truck, I like that body style alot. I would say get a nice set of 18's, maybe 20's for it. The bigger you go, the more you pay. 22's would be too big for that truck.
Also, looks like it needs a drop.
Get that ATV in there easier..
1983 Camaro Z28
Nice truck.
I would of also opted for the 5.3L or 6.0L variants ... but thats only because I'd end up modifying the thing into some sort of TT sprayed Monster
Nice, Im glad they offer the classic, as i love that body style. I have been seriously considering the new body style, but for me..its 6.0 or nothing...
cant be bothered by any of them Damn hemi owners
Correct me if I"m wrong...but doesn't the 07 Silverado look completely resytled as in the picture below.
Edit: I should of read the entire post.
Congrats...nice truck

My father-in-law has a extended cab long bed with the 5.3. Plenty of power to be more than comfortable to drive and I was extremely suprised on his gas mileage.
Although, if you're happy with the 4.3 thats all that matters. Good luck on what ever you decide.
that is the new 07 look. They still have to 07 "classic" model, which is what he got. perosnally I would have gone with 4WD since you live in a snowy area, but it is just my opinion. You can still do alright with weight in the back. Good buy though, I love chevy trucks
thanks guys for the comments. Yeah believe me i would of loved to get a the 327 4x4 version but this suites me and saved me a few $$$...and yes i have 360lbs in the back
where did you get the grille? my father has a 06 i want to buy it for him.
