hey folks, ive got a ? for ya. see my gf has a 99 malibu with the 2.4L twin cam engine, basically same as the Z24. would a AEM short ram for the Z fit it? i can find them for noticably cheaper than the ones for the malibu, and it looks to be the same intake.

Make sure that the IAT sensor wiring on the malibu is long enough to reach the IAT location on the cav intake. One is longer than the other, and I do not remember which one.

remember that sometimes airbox placement (and subsequent hole) and stuff is slightly different for different cars, but the overall setup should be similar.

yeah the ?97?-2002 cars were either 2.4tc or 3100 v6. the later ones of that body style were called "classic" since the new body malibu had been relaesed. the new body mailbu is either a 2.2 eco, 3.5 v6 (200ish HP) or a 3.9 v6 in the new SS (240ish HP) and i do believe the 3400 fell in there somewhere but im not sure where.
