Transport Canada and how to screw up a good thing
Monday, February 05, 2007 6:45 PM
This is a post that refers back to my original post.

Transport Canada is trying to change Importation laws from 15 year to 25 year exemptions.

If you're a member of an import or custom car community (like Club SI, f-body sites, or SEMA), PASS THIS LINK AROUND! Make sure that the Government DOES NOT stop this great option, especially when manufacturers are unwilling to make their enthusiast cars to met our safety standards, and Transport Canada is unwilling to modify our safety standards to make the enthusiast cars legal for sale in Canada.

Thanks guys...

I'll help pass it on.
Do you know how long before the law would come into effect if passed. I may be going on a buying spree.

The Conservative party is eyeing mid-late spring.

The info is on the http://www.15years.ca website.

Hopefully it doesn't happen, but that won't happen unless MP's are contacted and lambasted for doing a bloody stupid thing.
