General Motors said it was recalling nearly 100,000 Chevrolet Cobalt sedans to upgrade head-impact protection.
GM said the recall affects 98,707 vehicles from the 2005-2006 model years that are not equipped with optional roof-mounted side impact air bags. The potential problem was discovered during compliance testing.
Owners can contact Chevrolet at (800) 630-2438.

I don't think I'm being bias, but it seems that as of lately, the GM recalls have been for minor things. I say this is minor because no injuries have occurred from this problem, nor (as far as I know) have any reports been filed complaining of this.
But maybe I missed the major recalls or something....
how the hell you upgrade for head impacts , when you dont have side air bags
what you give the driver 2 helmets , lol

That's what I was wondering.
change out the airbags, chang out head rests?

head rest would be the same on a 2dr though
only difference really is the B-pillar being next to your head in a 4dr , and its the same with a cav

Or carve out part of your forehead.
Some JBO members could stand to have that done either way
And now for something completely different... Click the Minister.
The plastic pillar isnt soft enough in event you hit your head against it in a crash. I guess the fix will make it softer so you would end up a concussion instead of a skull fracture.

My question is how did somebody figure that out?
Was the guy that started that lawsuit so bored, he actually measured the difference between how far he was traveling and the odometer readout?
That's a good ? It was not specific in the letter as to how this was determined. So I guess the attorneys representing the client for this do know.Looks like it will just extend warranties or reimburse for those who leased as a end result is what I got out the letter.

Ok... I wonder what happened to the metal dashes of the '50s with the wooden steering wheels and no air bags. Seriously, padded pillars is a bit much IMO.
