I would love to have this bad boy, i just couldn't justify the price the dealership had on this one. $18k...

I can think of better things to spend $18k on...

Same way for me, the only Harley's I like are the V-Rods..

And that one is my favorite.

The only thing iv never liked is the exhaust on that one...Seems as though they could use the same exhaust for every model in that lineup.

Iv driven an 04, and wow, makes me want to trade in the Yamaha for one.

V-Rods are cool, but HD definitely ripped off the Yamaha Midnight/Raven paint scheme on that bike. either way, for that price I would get a Yammie Warrior, bore it out to a 2000cc, and add an Orient Express turbo kit:

Yammie:

Turbo:

yeah, 135whp on a stock 1670cc motor at 7psi. talk about total ownage

we dynoed a Vrod with just an exhaust and it put down 120 at the rear wheel.. thats non turbo.

that's still 15 horsepower less for more money. and torque, don't even go there. 145 ft-lbs on a 1670cc. the warrior also weighs about 30-40 pounds less (granted, the turbo system probably adds 10-15 pounds to the total weight).

don't get me wrong, I like the V-rods a lot. I also like the rest of the HD lineup, as well as the Buells. but, my personal opinion, for the price of a Harley (which is $16,500 for the night rod according to the HD website), there are a lot better choices. I guess if that's what you want, though, you gotta pay the price.

BTW, new Sportster XR1200 concept:

too much like a Buell. they won't make it (again, this is my opinion! not fact!)

im not arguing.. im just saying they can make horse power too.. hell the v rod distroyer which is thir dealer sold drag bike runs 9s for 32k Thats 32 k for 9s in the 1/4 when you can get a busa or a zx10 for less and run nines out of the box. harley is slowley getting around to the younger buyers wih the new sportster.. but it wont attract alot of buyers

I think if they put the Revolution into the Buells, they would get a lot more interest in them. I like the Lightning models, but I can't justify the price when you can get a Ducati Monster S2R1000 for the same price. Right now, Buell's down around number 5 on my list of "I want it" bike, but if they could make a bike that looks similar to the current XB models, but with the Revolution motor, and keep the price the same, I would have to put Buell at the top.

Im in love I got to ride my parents neighbors and was in love, the night train is the one bike Ive always wanted untill i saw this one even my wife fell in love with it. Ive been around H/Ds all of my life, and Brown eye I do agree that they need somthing for the younger generation a little bit cheeper than the V-rod, but I dont think they will change much. Another bike that Id love to have is a Fat Boy, my dad had one that was pushing about 130hp and it was sweet, red 15k worth of crome and slamed 2" with white walls. amd a screemin eagle pacage. I will see if I can dig up a pic of it. But I guess H/D = oldscool generation. O and thanks for the new background nity9cavy.

Doesn't the ZX-14 Kawasaki have 200hp stock without a power adder?
