I don't think I could drive an econo box while my girlfriend drove an Evo MR. No way
But hey nice car, definitley a major upgrade, enjoy it. Can't wait till I can afford the insurance on something like that
I agree with Slam . . . If my g/f owned an Evo, I'd cry and leave her on general principle, LOL
Is the Evo new, or used and how much you pay for it?
Hey guys hes just glad to have a car being his was a elantra (if i even spelled it right)
he was very excited to have a nice car like my cavy
and hes was not too into cars!
The MR was bought brand new it listed 40,500 but of course I didnt pay that much for it, I chewed them down to 36,800 (they had the car for a while since jan of this year) and had about 25 grand down on her! I simply love the car there is nothing else I can say about it but its a really nice ride and how I love the power compared to the cavy (not that my cavy did me bad I loved her too)
Thanks for the feed back when the cavy is all done this year coming up I will be sure to post pixs, the only down side I have with the evo is that its much more expensive to mod! But I knew that getting into it!
Vicky
I don't know if I can handle that a girl driving an Evo MR is with a guy not "too into cars".
lol
Evo might be more expensive to mod, but I guarantee the enjoyment from such exceeds any that the Cav could've provided.
The Evo better have a lot more power then the Cavy, lol. I love Evo's, thats my dream car right there. I think its repulsive though that they are completely changing the body next year for the Evo X. Looks ugly as sin, so I have to find a way to snag the model you have thats still in good condition, lol.
Watch it with that modding Evo though. I've read a lot of reviews and sites that say there isn't really much you can do power-wise with the exception of tuning and minor bolt ons. Supposedly the Evo's are already pushing max, and once you add things like bigger turbo, better exhaust, etc, supposedly it messes up quick. Don't know, thats just what i read. You also get to deal with the dealer saying "everything is abuse" when you need the warranty, lol.
Gorgeous car though.

You're dead right about the dealershipw arranty issue.
But on the modding issue, there's guys putting down BIG power out of that engine. She should have no problem making big power if that's what she wants to do
Yea, the dealerships with those cars are ridiculous. I have a friend who owns an WRX-STi, and another friend who owns an Evolution. Everytime they bring in their cars for general maintainence and ask questions about the little things here and there that should be covered via warranty, the dealer tries to peddle out of it and claim "it looks like it could be abuse". You'd figure if you pay $35,000+ for these things, you shouldn't get hassled for pointless s*it.

Evos are not even close to pushing max power outta that engine. Do some research on the 4G63. That engine can handle a ton of abuse....way more than whats being thrown at it now
Hence why I said "thats what i remember reading" . . . I didn't say myself.
should have gave me the cav. nice new ride. i should have went to colledge or somethin cuz im way too poor
Should have gotten a Vette. lol jk, I like the Evo, I drove one for a week. Nice little car, moves out good, and handles nicely. Just dont do what all the Street racers do and put all your faith in the AWD. I see more of them lose it in the corners and wipe out.
What do you expect Ken? Have you ever seen someone drive an Evo that was over the age of 21? LOL. I swear, every guy I see in one, looks like he isn't a day over 15 with a permit . . . Makes you wonder
I know how your boyfriend feels trust me! my girl use to have a 96 integra 2dr cpe completely stock other then a small system in it, well that changed 3 weeks ago.
she recently bought a 2002 mercedes benz C230 Kompressor and hell im still driving my chameleon fire, but i guess all is good anytime we go somewheres we take hers and i drive
Who needs a sig?
