Does anyone have a Toyota Yaris? If so what do you think of it, also any info on comparisions that show actual data, more then just opinions, about economy, space, safety, ect... vs. cars like the Honda Fit and things of that nature. Any info would be awsome.

We both drove the Honda Fit and I personally loved it, even though its a small engine and don't have a lot of power, that thing can go. It is quite peppy.
As for the Yaris, its just as plasticy as a Jbody inside...its a hunk of junk in my opinion.
Sorry, but I hate the Yaris, especially the 2 door. Just looks too "bulbus". If you're looking sub-compact, go for the Fit or even the Versa or Aveo.

I drove a yaris....seemed to be great quality. Interior had a nice quality feel and the ride was smooth. Good list of standard features as well.
check out the hyundai accent, the 3 door looks pretty snazzy, altho i think they are a little more than the yaris to start

my girlfrined is looking into a new car, she has a Lexus ES right now and the gas mileage is becoming a problem, shes looking for a sub compact car which why were looking into it. We know the Fit is the best of the group buts price is also up there amoung the top.

Karo and I went and looked at the Yaris and Fit again last night...
1) The Yaris sporty version doesn't even come with power locks or windows YET it has a body kit.
2) The Fit's are outrageously priced even being used...Toyota mark up is ridiculous on these cars. We found an 07 with 6k miles and they wanted 19k for it.
i would go with the aveo the new 07s look really nice. a blue one drove by me the other night and def a nice looking car. the fit i think is down right ugly. it comes with headlights painted the body color? and its only a wagon looking car def ugly. the Yaris is nice looking but its a little out there on its price. the Versa is nice looking to. i saw one in my work parking lot and i was like its nice looking. so it would be the aveo or the Versa for me.

how about a focus zx3? can be had cheap and i think are supposed to be decent (could be wrong though)
How can they justify marking up an econo-box by that much?
Because people will still buy them.

Gas price is the reason for the mark up...
These econoboxes are a hot for their small tanks and their MPG ratings.

we just tried to look at a Yaris.... the dealer had 1 4 door base modle and nothing else, so we came home started looking on line and calling dealers. We talked to like 5 or so dealers total before finding a Yaris hach, were about to go check it out.

i wouldn't go aveo, id get a base model cobalt which is bigger, looks better, and really gets about the same MPG
and ive herd the yaris/fit are a little pricey for what your getting, i say maybe look into the new rabbit since you work at a VW dealer and all, i liked what ive seen in those new commercials but i have acctually seen one in person yet. What about a saturn ION? you can pick em up cheap as @!#$ here at the end of the year from what my friend is telling me
THe Yaris 4 dr with the aero package looks fantastic, and gets 52-53mpg. Drop it, rims and tint and your have a car that looks better then most J's.
