approx 2 months ago, i did a slight upgrade on two fronts

i like many people loiter here, even though i have no j-body anymore
my 01 z-24 went back in the spring of 05
and have been driving my wifes escape and our 67 mustang

we decided, due to our 4 month old daughter,and the stuff that comes with her that we needed a better ride

we updated to a 06 ford explorer xlt

i live in canada and the vehicle was a former rental vehicle, ( clean carfax)
so we got a huge deal on it

the list on it's features as is, is $33,000 us and over $43,000 cdn

and we paid $25,000 cdn for

the road noise is next to nothing, tons more space than our escape
we had a freakishly bad escape for gas, that would do more than double on the highway than city for gas milage
so the gas is not a factor, even with the 4x4 and extra size and weight

BTW, i don't pay for gas, period, so it was never a factor in my decision

the truck was offroad, on day 2, lol
not to bad offroad, for a fully stuck factory truck

That is one hell of a deal you got on that Explorer, Congrats!
