new is new
but ya u would buy a vette my self
Until they told you it would be 600 a month for insurance. Not to mention the bidding isn't over on the car so i'm sure by Sep 2nd it'll go up. Also its easier to get a loan for someone young on a new car rather then a used car.
that and a vette isnt always what a person needs or can use
who was the fat bastard that destroyed those seats!
I wrote this post a long time ago, a real long time ago, back in 94.
yeah, 50k miles = no warranty.

How many times do the mods have to say no ebay ads?
I sorta read through it and sounds suspiciously like probably a flooded vehicle or an auction car...did it say the title was clean? (sorry just looked at the pretty pics and didnt wanna read through all the stuff hehe)

personally I like my Cobalt SS/SC interior and exterior looks over that Z06, now if it was a C6 (even in like 5 years if i find one) I would take it, But I was not a huge fan of the C5's....that and 385 Hp is kindof crappy.

Everything Louder than Everything else
I agree with .JerseyKid., that shift knob kills the entire interior of that car. It's disgusting.
I'd take a decent 68-72 vette for the same price....
Something does seem fishy about that car though....
that vette has been on ebay for atleast a month or so... so theres obviously something wrong with it OR price isnt high enough/no buyers.
But as with what everyone else said, many things come into consideration. Insurance, would I like to carry more than 1 person and more than 2 gallons of milk in my car, would I like to constantly worry about a tiny little door ding or a bird @!#$ting on my nice vette, etc etc.
The outside of the car looks good other than the squiggly antenna every 16 yr old girl has on their car. And the seats look god awful. I def like the white, I havent seen very many white z06s
Poor poor leather seats

. I use Meguire's on mine every Saturday to make sure they don't end up like that.
Oh and that shift knob is hideous lol.

whats kind of crappy is the SS's i was watching at the track last friday running 15.2 at 91 stock. 385 horsepower is in no way crappy.

OMG!

!
And this is coming from a 205hp econonbox owner!
When I had my 2003 ZO6, I was paying a few dollars more then for my 2002 Sunfire GT at around $580 every six months through Allstate with $500 deductable and full coverage in Miami. For both cars, I was at around $1100-$1200.
Personally I would not buy that car, something tells me it was involved in a accident.

mmm I think i may be looking to purchase an ls1 vette come end of winter.
I think 50k miles on a 2001 Corvette is rather high mileage, especially considering it's a Z06. Or am I just being dumb?
I was happy when I heard my car ran 10s. Then I found out that was 0-60.
Average milage for most cars is ~ 12K a year
Car is 5 years old
12k x 5 = 60k
Milage seems good to me.
Although most people only put on less then 1/2 of that on specialty cars like the Vette (i.e. they don't see winter driving, only take them out on the weekends, ect)
