i cant imagine the cobras traction was all that fantastic with those thin ass tires
(granted he did get a good hole shot, but i dont think his tires were grippin that great all the way down)
I have a story for you, Sappy, although unrelated you will get a kick out of it.
I was working out with my buddy this morning and we were talking cars, ect. Well, he owns a SRT-4, so you know where this is going.
He said to me, he says "Those GTO's are freaking stupid. They are just big Cavaliers."
Then he says, says he "All Chevy did was take a Lumina front end and slap it on the Cavalier body. Drop some crappy V8 in it and called it a GTO."
Man, I was laughing my ass off. Just figured you'd get a kick out of that. Sorry for the thread jack.

if im not mistaken the only other car over here to share the same plateform is the cadillac catera; but im not a 100% sure on that, so no quoting

Catera and GTO that is correct. Also I think the last gen cavs looked more like camaros. I don't see the resemblance either. And as far as a stupid v8??? Uhm yeah... a NA motor that makes hp O NO!! run!!1

same reason alot of cavs get mistaken for eclipses
i can see similarities with the gto and cav's , and the cavs and the eclipse
id still put this plate on a gto , LSx CAV alot of people would be looking like WTF ???

I would say it couldn't have been me but it could be. I have destroyed my fair share of them. Of course I know there are a few out there that can eat my lunch but I haven't found em yet.
