Well, you've all seen my RX-7 vert. For those who haven't i'll post a picture. I have a guy interested in buying it. I'm a little tight on cash ATM and dont need another project. So I thought i'd ask what you guys think its worth. A little run down on the car....
Exterrior is VERY straight. No dents, dings, no rust. The paint is fading/peeling on the trunk and thats it. It has 145k on a non-turbo 13b. Its a 5-speed but it needs a new tranny so it doesn't drive. The inside is in great shape except the driver seat is showing wear. Its a 1991. Any ideas would be great. I'll ask the RX-7 boards but I hate new boards, heh.
Here's a quick pictures.
i wouldnt pay more than 500 bucks for a car that i cant drive but thats me
not sure what options there are but blue book for a vert 5 speed with that many miles is 7k and that would be with perfect paint and running
so id say maybe 3 or 4 at the most
I had 500 bucks in mind. Being a vert makes it pretty rare. Running I would say 3500-3000.
well the blue book is about 7k
so i would try to get more for it than 500
Personally, I'd still hold on to it. $500 bucks isn't enough for me to want to part with a car that special and rare. But then again, if you need the cash.... I dunno.
I wrote this post a long time ago, a real long time ago, back in 94.
i'd say you might get about $1500 for it...if you're definitely hellbent on selling it, go to www.rx7club.com and post it up.

That and a new transmission.
If you didn't have a for sale sign posted on the car, I'd say he's willing to pay top dollar for it.

that would cost more than the car is currently worth, and he said he's strapped for cash. bad idea FTL.

again, he's trying to GAIN money...not debt. cars aren't investments, they're dependants with short lifespans(most of the time). anyone who looks at a vehicle as an investment needs to seriously reprioritize their life, as one will almost never make the kind of money they've invested into their vehicle.

Well, I do know someone that lives off of fixing cars and reselling them. Granted they are vintage type cars. But he owns a very nice house.
Also, almost everyone at my work buys and fixes up cars to make money on the side.

MOST people aren't that fortunate.
