Beautiful. I love those cars. Wonder why they had to go f it up with that hideous front bumper though? Make sure the children stay on the sidewalk when that thing drives by!

Definately will feel the bass in that thing, huh? Damn!

Do they ever take it out, or does it just collect dust?

thats the nfsu car. there was a build up about it a long time ago in one of the magazines. go and get your nfsu game youll see what im talking about. I wasnt sure if it was the same car at first, but im almost positive now. the body kit is the exact same, most of the sticker placement is the same. they have the same ugly bazzoka tubes. with the clear plexi glass mounting and they also have the same ingited switches.

the car was supposed to be a replica and its sexy.

Not here

Only gotta wait another 8 years or so... but the R34 WILL be available here (earlier if the exclusion gets trimmed to 10 years). Hasn't ANY car import company stepped up to fill MotoRex's shoes?

GAM, it wouldn't matter if they did(and there are a few in the US), the R34 and R32 are illegal in the US now.

Really? they can't just modify the emissions system like they were doing before in order to make them street legal ?

nope. it's a crash test issue. the founder of Motorex lied about whether or not the R32, R33, and R34 were the same model. he managed to squeak by just under the radar by saying they were all the same model of vehicle with cosmetic changes, when there truly are differences between the numbers. since that was discovered(right around the time of his incarceration late last year/early this year), they deemed all but the R33 illegal in the US. all vehicles that were previously granted a certificate of legality are grandfathered in. any others are considered illegal until someone crash tests them and makes them legal according to US crash test specs.

read more about it here

I think you need a grand total of 7 vehicles for crash-testing certification... What I don't get (it's the same here in Canadia as well) is why NTSB/TC doesn't just use the data from Japan's ministry of transportation when they crash certified the vehicles... The difference is that the measurements are in newtons versus pounds of force, and other metric conversions. Why kill more cars? Heck, Honda and Nissan have been testing their world cars in Japan for the last 10 years or so, where is the problem?

That's what I was getting at Laura, not the cars legality, but the fact that someone could step up and possibly bring over a few good examples R34/R32 M-types or whatever (I don't remember the NTSB's certification regimen, but it's testing the body for deformity anyhow) and test them.

Either way, it's a niche market, it's not like these are going to be sold in the thousands of units... I'd sooner see them treated like kitcars than production unit.

That IS the car from NFSU . The guy who owns it bought it from the game company. He's had that car at least 2 years now. When he got it, it still had the side graphics on one side. The car sat at that shop for at least 6 months while they tried to get it legalized. I heard they finally did but I also heard he was driving it around on the plates from his NSX. Only things he's done to it are the wheels and a exhaust other than that its stock. It was funny as hell watching people reaction when they saw it sitting outside the day it got to the shop LOL
