Although I'm still going to keep my Sunfire GT for my kids to learn to drive on. Here is my new daily driver. 2006 BMW 330i. Picked it up in Munich on BMW's European Delivery Program. Spent 8 Days with the wife on vacation touring Germany.

24.7 mpg @ 150mph thats pretty good.
How you liking the car?
Jabbles
24.7 mpg was the average for that tank at the time. I was too busy watching the road to notice the economy gage at 150+ MPH. Wife was taking the pictures. We have a picture at 155 but it is real blurry. I was cruising at 100 and getting 30 mpg, but might have been on slight decline though.

Absolutely love it. I sucked waiting 6 weeks after I dropped it off in Munich for it to arrive in Atlanta. Driving stateside is not as fun though. Cannot cruise at 100+ safely and legally.

lol...
BMW has had that program for a while, I did the drive from Munich to a Port in France (and I forget exactly what the name was) a few times when I was in need of cash when I was in europe.
Fun stuff:
Cruising at about 100/110 in a 7 series limosine
Had a woodrow for about 3 1/2 hours.

Nice upgrade, did you visit the BMW museum in Munich? Freaking great place.
They are working on the museum now and it was only partially open, so we bypassed it. We went to Rothenburg, then up the Rhine River Valley to Koblenz, Down to Triberg in the Black Forest (Wife got a Cockoo Clock), then on to Lake Constance, then to Fussen to see Neuschwanstein, Linderhodd Castles, then back to Munich for the last few days (Including the Hofbrauhaus, Big Beer!!!)

KILLER UPGRADE!!!! WOW! Nice freakin car! So how was Germany?
"Remember do what you like because you have to drive it."--Me
Germany was great. Great Food, Beer, and Sites. The only thing that sucked was paying $100 for a tank of gas. The 330i only has a 16 Gal tank.

What is the advantage of getting it shipped here from Germany as opposed to just going to your local BMW dealership here in the states? GDM yo? lol

Savings and the adventure. Basically the Euro delivery price is 7% less then US Delivery, and includes all the customs and shipping costs. But if you research and know the right figures you can get a car for around $1000-$1500 over Euro Invoice price depending on timeframe and luck sometimes less then that. My car out the door price was just under $38,000, out the door paying US MSRP would have been nearly $43,000. Basically the savings pays for your vacation in Europe and then some if you work things right. I used my Frequent flyer miles to fly my wife and I over and all we paid for was the tax on the tickets. Passports were $97 each. We stayed in Guest Houses, town hotels, a B&B, also spent one night on the Air Force Base. So our most expensive lodging was 90 Euros for one night. Meals were pretty cheap if you stay away from the fancy places, and eat at the mom and pop restaurants/beer halls. Including the wifes $500 cuckoo clock, we may have spent $2000 - $2200 on the trip. We are talking about going back again in about 4-5 years to get my wife an X3, if I don't retire from the USAF that is.
Waiting 4-6 weeks for redelivery (For East Coast) back in the states is a killer though.
