I would take a Z06 or a Viper SRT-10 anyday over a Ford GT. Their not worth the money, and in my opinion, are pretty gaudy looking.

Anyone ever watch Top Gear and you know about all the crap the GTs have wrong with them.
The photo of the window looking at the engine suggests it has been rained on...can you imagine driving down a dark road in the middle of the night and see a Ford GT screaming down going the other way at 100mph on fire?

Every new car has it's share of problems. I personally really like the ford gt and think that it is a great car for the money. Even though you need to have cash to afford one, it still hangs with supercars which cost over 100k more. I don't like many fords, the original 427 cobra's, the gt-40s, and the new GT are the only ones I like.
Kid Rock (bob) drove one to my work not too long ago (he has a red GT with white stripes), and he loves his. (He also ownes an original General Lee which is in his barn!)
As much as I love to bash ford the GT is a great car no question. This one just had a little prob.

But thats just it, its not a great car. Someone posted on the Ls2 forums as well that is was a great car other than this mishap. Simply not true. Research a little and you will see how @!#$ty they really are. One auto Magazine Editor Bought one and had to return it. It was riddled with problems and most of them were never fixed. The big one was the security system activated on its own and disabled the car while the guy was driving it. It happened constantly, and ford couldnt fix it.
There are so many other stories just like that. If i was rich, that would be the last car i would buy.

That security system is also one he had added thou so that was kind of stupid IMO. They have had a few problems. Control arm failure, and I think a TSB on fuel lines too?

You are correct he did send the car back to Ford. Guess what he has another one now. He loves the car. All new cars have issues, all cars have issues. I'm not a huge Ford fan, but I do like this car. I would never spend the money on it (unless I was stupid rich). I do feel the car is a SuperCar. I have also seen what they can do. You can double the horsepoer of the stock motor in stock for. How many cars can you mod and make over 1000WHP on the stock motor, not many.
I will still take a Z06 over a Viper and most other cars any day.
