anyone have any thoughts good/bad about the Saab 9-5 SE? Mainly a 2001 turbo V6. Thanks

The Turbo V6 is A New Addition As Far As I Know. The 2001 9-5 Came With a 2.3 Turbo 4. Ive heard they are a little pricey to maintain.

The 9-5 came with a 3.0L v6 turbo. They are kinda slow.

I would make sure it isn't leaking any coolant, because it can get expensive to repair those coolant leaks. (oil cooler and thermostat)

Really I would get the 4 cyl. They have a bulletproof bottom end (for stock cars)

Yeah the v6 and the 4 are about equal. It's not until 03 (i believe) that the 95 got a 230 hp 2.3 ecopower. (diff from ecotec)
That's when the 4 cyl would be quicker than the 6 (for sure) then in 05' it the power rose to 250 from the 2.3 ecopower. Then in 06' they raised it to 260 hp. That's more than the current 06' 93's v6 which puts out a solid 250.
