That's because the new Sky and Aura are copies of the Opel GT,and the Opel Vectra. And this Holden Astra is a rebadged Opel Astra OPC. So they should look exaclty like eachother.
Everytime I see this car I remember how much I love how it looks. I really hope Saturn does sell that hatch oen day...
Oh, and i looked it up. The Opel Astra Turbo is FWD. So I Think this one must also be FWD.

Auctually that Sky came from the Vauxhall Lighning and they decided to make the sky on the Kappa platform also they scrapped the Vauxhall and made it to the Opel GT.
Vauxhall Lighting came before Sky.
well, looking at it again, the black piece over the engine that i previously thought was the windshield cowl, appears to be an airbox plenum or something of the like, so yeah, it might be transverse after all even though if you look quickly it definitely looks longitudinal.

^^He is correct. That picture was taken at an angle. Also that engine is the Opel version in which intake is front and header in front.

He is correct. Vauxhall never came out, so therefore the GT is a rebadge Sky RL.

intake rear , exhaust front
and yes the sky is from the concept vauxhall lightning , which was only a concept
even if it was produced , doesnt make the sky a copy of the opel gt since the opel gt isnt even avaliable yet , and the sky is (not for you mr gt )
