ooh they came back with an old name....that model of vet was nice though (for when it was being made) but i liked how blue devil sounded lol...but hey who cares its a vet and they're hot!

I've never really cared for vettes and don't really see what the hype is all about ,but sting ray is a better fitting name.

I was just saying that it does seem a bit underrated. But im sure they detune the cars for the street and all of the people that just want to say that they drive it in the snow becuase they think that driving a winter beater to work is a sin.

Stingray reminds me of some unmentionable days of the vette. The last time Stingray was used, the car was a dog. Not by it's fault but rather the word at the time. I'm not saying all Stingrays were crap. Just the last ones.

For those who question it's lowly 600hp. You know little of what you speak. Vettes with 600hp historically have smoked cars with far far more promised power.
This car is going to be an animal. A shark. Not a silly looking flat fish thingy that has a goofy smile on it's underbelly.
600 HP in a car that tips the scales at a tad over 3000lbs is gonna have a power to weight ratio of a sport bike !
Not much hp ? PFT ! Have any of you ever driven a car that has twice the power then the weight ? Its EFing fast !
Besides whats its compitition ? A million and a half Bugatti or a special edition Lambo ? This car if they do actualy build it will be one of if not thee baddest production car EVER built, and its a CHEVY for God sake !

Umm, the reason that engine "only" has 100 more hp is:
1. To keep it "streetable" for a stock version
2. Compression was knocked down to account for boost (loss of NA hp then)
................Which car will hit 400 whp first???................

well, remember guys, just like in every other Z06/FordGT thread, if it needs a supercharger to make that much power it must not be as cool as the all motor one...

mako shark was the name of 1 of the concept vettes that GM build
and was 1 of the best looking concepts made too
and since it was a car most dreamed about , it seamed fitting to reuse the mako name plate
more so since sting ray name died in the mid 70's along with the performance of the vettes
