This is our new car. Well actually my moms new car. My work had it for sale, 2006 Toyota Matrix XR. We bought it used with under 1,000 miles on it. Got it for $17,800 (we, my dearlership, got it as a trade in and gave the guy $17,650) and since I was an employee they gave us twice the trade in the value on the old van. It was pretay much a steal. We were gonna get a blue Pontiace Vibe but this was to good of a deal to pass up.

personally I like it alot. It comfortable, preaty roomy, the entire inside folds flat with hard plastic backs on all of it and in the truck, even the passenger side seat fold flat, makes for alot of room to store stuff, I just bought this big wooden shelving unit thing that fit inside, its over 6 feet tall. I almost bought a black used Matrix xR a while ago, but the dealer tried to screw me 'cause I'm young, so left after calling him on it...

I still wouldn't mind having one, though I have my eye on the new Dodge Caliber. I'll have something along these lines in the next year most likely....

I had a rental Matrix from a local Toyota dealer. The exact same model as you bought. Auto, sunroof, etc. I thought it needed more power. The slushbox did not help out any. Kinda amusing to drive. I wish they had the XRS as a rental.

Good choice getting a Toyota though. The reliability should be high.

Watch the front bumper lips. They are low. The rental I got had less than 100 miles on it. I took a turn wih a slightly deep gutter across it, and scuffed the driver side lip quite well. OOPS. Good thing it was black
