I have decided to sell some of the sunfire parts I have laying around and buying a bike. My budget is around $3000 and will only settle for a 600cc+ bike. I've been looking at this blue 1996 Suzuki RF600R that I seem to like. it seems very comfortable, in ok condition, stylish, and rare. it has only 12k miles but it needs a new rear tire(wires are showing which indicates a rough life) as been layed over and has a crack by the headlight. he is asking $3000 obo, I think I could get it for under that though cause of the tire and crack in the plastic. could someone give me a little incite if this is a good deal or even a good bike?? what else should I check when I inspect the bike??
Im looking for a quick, comfortable, dependable bike.
I've been doing some research on this bike and it seems there were a few bugs to be worked out in its first couple of years and the sales on these bikes at first were very slow until later on during there last year of make when it started to take off. they say it has good top end power and good handling along with a great riding stance that makes it easy on the back and wrists. all the reviews that I have read on the bike are positive and most of the people that own one have owned several.
I can take some actual pics of it but heres some I pulled off google

youll get no respect in the bike world with an old bike like that....use the money u get from the parts to put a down payment on a 2005 or 2006 version of that bike and make the small small monthly payments it turns out to be
it will be quick, comfort depends on you, and dependability is the same as any other bike out there...theyre all foreign so they all last for a long time, any brand u go with will last till you get tired of it as long as you treat it well
Im out there Jerry and Im LOVIN EVERY MINUTE OF IT
it's ugly, but then again, so is my bike
. If you could get it for $2000 I would go for it. If not, there are a ton of mid-90's 600-class bikes out there for 2 G's
why is he looking for respect in the bike crowd? He is looking to do something for himself, not someone else....

i would say if you like it and it fits you well than get it but talk him down on the $$$$ because it has been dumped and the tire
a bike that has been over before is a vary good first bike because its cherry is poped
this will be my first bike and I am not looking to be with the "in"crowd of the bike world. I was the first one that wants a bike in our car group and now everyone wants one. not everyone wants a busa or an r1 we just want to ride. I already have a high car payment and a quad payment so Im not looking to get something new and pay on it. I just want somethig thats payed off. I think if I can talk him down on the price then it would be perfect for me. besides the guys girlfriend wanted my dick for a long time, I think I can sweet talk her into getting me a good deal

also I work at a body shop so Im not really worried about the crack and scratches cause it will get a fresh paint job once I get it.
