Picked up my new beater today. 1990 v6 ford probe 5 speed 18x,xxx miles. Free to me. On to the pics...







It's got a few problems... mainly just needs a new exhaust and an oil change. Runs fine. I'll throw a pic in of my civic too since not many have seen it. 1995 Civic dx with over 200k.

She's been seafoamed... new oil, coolant, air filter, fuel filter, plugs, and wires, not to mention a very good cleaning. But I had to rip off the muffler that rusted out. So that's the only thing I need to take care of after I get insurance and plates.

Yes, at the moment I have 3 cars. The probe isn't in as bad of shape as I thought it was. I did a major tune-up and major cleaning and its really not that bad. I learned that all 4 speakers are blown, but it has a new working cd player, so I'll worry about that later. Heres some interior shots...

hard to believe that that thing was gonna replace the Mustang

some of those had a amplifier under the passenger seat , and if the deck isnt wired in correctly to the amp , you wont get any sound , or youll get a distorted sound from the speakers

Thanks for that info! There is an amp under the passenger seat. Hmmmm... anyone know how to fix the problem?

free beaters rule!! my neighbor gave me a 1996 cavy coupe it had a blown transmission. so i got one from the junkyard, threw it in and it runs and drives mint! good luck with it!

nice pickup tho, i know a kid with an older black prob with well over 100K on the clock and it runs pretty good

Runs awesome for having 190,000. Thank you... nice houses but bad driveway! Only thing left to do is exhaust, plates, and INSURANCE. And would still like some help with the stereo problem.

Running very smooth... except for a tiny little tick it has going on. And the stereo situation is starting to p!ss be off, althought it doesn't effect its running. I honestly haven't driven it much at all.

Got the head unit taken care of, although sadly all of the speakers are still blown. I replaced the fronts for now and will probably just not use the rears. Exhaust gets fixed Monday and everything else is done!! Runs good... needs some hubs.
