The American version comes in both the 2.7L v-6 and 2.0 4-banger. In Korea, they are strictly 4 cyl. only. Korean Hyundai race teams deal strictly with the 4 bangers and rumor has it they are almost bulletproof. When the 2.7 was introduced, rumor was they'd break at 250 hp, and the 4-cyl. would go way beyond that. Its been proven though the v-6 has handled 300whp on stock internals, though the aftermarket support from Korea on these engines are nill. There are plenty of performance goodies for them, just have to look to the states.
The 4cyl. Tibby's they say when looking to go boost is the route to go. Koreans have been long showing what they are capable of. There is also oodles more aftermarket for them because of them being used in Korea.

yeah Kdmguy's tibby is simple sick, theres a couple of videos of it on streetfire.net or you can go to the video forums and look on there, he's always posting something cool.
don't know if anyone has ever seen these but heres two silver tiburons, the first video is old but its of a V6 supercharged tib vs an SRT4. the second one is a supercharged V6, there is no other sound quiet like a super charged tibby.

I never really liked them. But today I went with my girl to go pick one up for her new daily driver. It really is a great car. She got a good deal to.
yeah i got a great deal too, I didn't ever like them either till I drove one. I still really don't like to many other hyundais. its different and has a better fit and finish than a j-body would ever have.

KDMGuy deffinately has one of the nicest Tiburons on that site. I beleive there is a twin turbo kit out for the v6's but its only been released in korea so no one really knows the numbers on it.
That car is H A R D. I love the USDM widebody kit. But, that car alone is damn nice. The cage work alone is nuts, but the intercooler thats as big as a queen mattress is just tasty.

Barely 400HP.
Not only is it a 2.0 but it i bet it runs perfect. And i would bet me left nut its got a lot of power left on tap. Its prolly tuned down because of the stock internals..
