The 206cc looks like crap, but the regular 206 is awesome. I would love a Peugeot, they are apparantly incredible cars.
this one looks better I think:
They should sell those things here!!!
My mom used to have an older 306... sick car, I'd love one here in the states.
^^ thats odd , but im pretty sure I saw one of those coming out of my school last week, with Texas plates. are you guys sure they DO NOT sell them here? thats the only one ive seen though.
They do NOT sell them here. You could get the old 405s imported into canada in the early 90's, but I really doubt that there would be any 206s in texas.
Unless someone had driven up from Mexico or South America, that's possible.
they used to sell them here , i used to see alot of them on the roads in california
they were ugly cars back then , and some models are still kinda fugly
i used to know someone that had a diessl 4dr model , they used to have problems with it , it was a good thing the guy was a diesel mechanic
even if they arent sold here in the states, you can buy one overseas and have the windows changed over to shatter resistant to meet US standards and have it shipped back here.

Anyone that really wants one could probably import one from mexico... or just drive it across if you live on the border.
They get a lot of european cars that we dont. Paying for all the registration crap is another story though. Cool cars nonetheless.

Well there are plenty of other safety requirements the US has that Europe doesn't. For example the new Lotus Elise couldn't be sold in the US until 2004 (or was it 06 - correct me if I'm wrong) because it didn't meet US crash standards. It's normally a side-impact issue BC europeans don't have side impact crashes as much as Americans do.
Just to correct someone, Peugeot 405's and 505's were sold here in the US until 1991, when they pulled out of the American car market. They are pretty spiffy cars, and in some ways ahead of their time. Heated Recaro leather seats, magnesium alloy components, integrated crash safety systems, lots of stuff that you just didn't see in any other cars.
Unfortunately, French automakers got a bad rep thanks to companies like Renault and their pathetic LeCar, along with some of the other European companies that bit the big one (ie; Yugo).
My Peugeot, however, is a true import. It was a decommissioned French rally car that's been traded around one too many times, became an amalgamation of assorted parts, and now is in my hands, being put back together to it's former glory...or so I hope. Sometimes I just hang my head in shame for even trying to rebuild this thing.

sorry to bring this thread back up, i forgot I had posted here. I am 100% SURE that it was a 206, exactly like the on that comes out in nfsu. it had TEXAS plates. I live in a border city, so maybe they just bought it in mexico and brought it over. hell, maybe its a mexican car, and they just put fake plates on it just to drive it somewhere. i dont know.
