No I did't race him, but didn't know where to put this.
I was on my way home last night and came up to a stop light. In the lane next to me was a new Dodge Charger. I rolled down my window and say "Hey. That thing got a HEMI?"
I just couldn't resist. He shouts back "Damn, straight." When the light truned green, he laid down some new rubber on the pavement and was gone. It was great.
Glad you didn't even try it may have been a cop. They have them around here now so watch out as I'm sure they do where you are too.

YUP ! Howard county and Anne Arundel counties along with State Troopers ( only told about troopers haven't seen for myself yet ) are running unmarked HEMI Chargers.

The new HEMI is so overrated just living off a name. Chevy V-8's have the same power and always get better mileage to boot.
You're right about the 5.7L Hemi makes the same power as the LS1, but the 6.1L Hemi has 25 more HP then the LS2, and I believe it is even mor powerful then the 6.2L V-8 that's coming out in the Escalade. You also can't forget about the new 392 Hemi that is going to be in the Challenger with 500 hp.

Yes.. it does.
It's got all the regular Police Duty Vehicle package IIRC like an optional vinyl rear seat, heavy duty/long service springs/shocks and beefed up transmission.
The only thing I think it doesn't come with is the wiring for the light bar.

that I HIGHLY doubt... A "fleet" of 65k sports car, I could see MAYBE ONE but even thats pushing it. Theres no need for a sports car like they, thats what they have the helicopters for IMO

well they did have a fleet of 5.0's back in the late 80's early 90's

a 5.0 mustang, along with camaros and chargers is a different story than a fleet of Z06s... you cant compare the two.

they have a couple in south carolina
and thats a piss poor state compared to the amount of money in cali

Most car companies donate a demo car or two to police stations around the areas.
In my area there are Dodge Intrepids, Chevy Impalas, Chevy Camaros, Ford Mustangs, Dodge Magnums, few Vettes, few Hummers, few Vipers, and one Countach.
Also some police vehicles are drug seized.
