What do you run in the quarter?
The exhaust looks hott.
last time i went to the track i ran a @!#$ty time because i was nervous and my clutch was slippin like all hell. i've since replaced it and can't wait to get back to the track when it warms up. should be running somewhere in the 15s.
rota slipstreams this summer!
my dad has a blue 2004 elantra
its a nice car
he got some nice 17s, multispoke, they look pretty nice for no name cheapies
he also got the lip spoiler, makes it look much better
i would suggest the gt spoiler from your cars year, it would make the rear look 1000000% better
tell your dad to get onto www.elantraxd.com!!! yeah oem high spoiler is on the list too...
hes not really an internet guy
but i do like the car has some nice pep
ill try to get pics this spring when its nice out
plus you get a lot for the money
Turbo elantra = 15's
My friend has one. Slightly modded. 130whp but can't get out of it's own way.
eh, Sunfires... (Tom) wrote:Turbo elantra = 15's

maybe a turbo elantra that isnt tuned with a @!#$ty driver and no clutch running 6 psi tops
Nice, great color. As said before, just get some rims and you're alright

JBOK.org loves you

elantra's are like 17 sec cars. Dropping two seconds from the quarter would be great.
elantras are 16.7 quarter stock at the MOST. my car will run mid to high 15s and all i have done is N/A mods. when i'm done i'll be low 14s or lower. i have a spare motor i'm planning on building than boosting with a T3 super 60 turbo.
That clutch seems a little extream for such low hp...
My wife's '05 gets grocerys really well. The car seat fits really well too!
I am not trying to be a dick or anything. I gues you gotta enjoy what you got. Personally I would mod a moped before I hit up an Elantra. Good luck with it though...
Rims, lose the bumble bee cannon, maybe a 50 shot or something...

and what makes the jbodys that much better to mod? because they are more known? my engine has just as much potential as yours jsut most people fail to realize it because they still view it as an older hyundai which had a bad rep when they are alot better than they were years ago. the engine stock can handle 300whp. not horribly bad for an econobox.
the elantra can rip in the 1/4 mile. its the same engine and tranny platform as the tiburon. That 2.0 has alot of blot ons available, cams, TB's you name it. Easy mid 15 second cars. i work with a guy who was running mid 15's in his elantra....N/A just I/E/UDP/Header.
Whats a Cavalier?
Because it's my opinion, like I said...

thats what most ecos and quad 4 s run stock, i wouldnt call 15 sec ripping the 1/4

not a bad car but i think i would use it as a winter car and buy something funner and faster, this probably pisses you off but maybe you would be happier in the long run with something else.you asked for opinions so theres mine.either way welcome to the board and have fun
15.4 @ 89mph
Exactly! I guess I understand to a point you will always mod what you got. Even if that isn't always the smartest thing to do. I'd say save your $$ and get something worth modding but I doubt that is what you want to hear. 15's for all the $$ it will take = not worth it.
