the new beater *56k beware...*

here's some pics of the new ride right after we picked it up. it's a 96 legacy wagon dropped on 16's with an axle back exhaust. i have a few plans for the car (including a set of jdm headlights i picked up on ebay for cheap to replace the yellowed ones) but it'll probably stay this way for a bit.

without further adieu...

before they are pointed out... things that need fixed include: yellowed headlights, front and rear bumpers (paint flaking and dents), driver's side front fender, dent below passenger tail light, and the exhaust needs rehung

redgote... it's not actually my plate... it's the previous owner's plate... i'll be sending that back as soon as i get my PA plate

navycav... it works for now. i plan on having a full exhaust system done with most likely a different muffler. it'll be my daily driver too so i want it to be a little fun... so i'll be modding it a bit.

in-dash autometer tach
in-dash autometer temp gauge

My mother has one of those cars.. I borrowed it around Christmas time. AWD is fun in the snow! I wish I could afford a new Outback..

Isn't the purpose of a beater to just drive it and not have to put any money into it?

Good buy for $2200 though, actually looks good with the drop and rims...

My opinion, DO NOTHING TO IT, it's a winter car! Beat the crap out of it and hide it during the summer. But, hey, it's your car, your money. Spend as you wish...

actually... it's gonna be my daily driver too... i'd like to keep some of the miles and dings off the cav after i get it repainted in the spring. i'm not dumping a ton into it... just a bit to make it fun.

regardless of the look of the muffler, it actually sounds pretty good. better than alot of other cars i've heard with mufflers/full exhaust
