hm. I heard no more half doors? Maybe so!

The frame has an extra two inches of wheelbas and a 3.5 inch wide track width. The Sahara model has a option of getting an 18" wheel and tire package while the Moab wheels that are on that Rubicon above are 17". They still kept the Dana 35 rear axle but they offer a 4.10 gearset as an option across all the models which is definitely a plus.
One cool thing that I saw was that it comes with an optional electronic-disconnecting front stabilizer bar. So it is basically an electronic quick disconnect.
I am not too fond of it right now, but I am sure the new Wrangler will grow on me.
Have a good one,
Justin
Wow that looks great. Makes me wish I waited to get mine. I still wanna see what the four door version will look like with the doors off. That will be really weird looking.
Looks the same as every other jeep since it's conception.

jeep brought back the golden eagle too
but no hood eagle
also i saw a 4.0 6spd at the la auto show
Not bad. They should've either kept the I-6 or made a new I-6 for ease of repairing. The local news station for some reason kept showing a hemi motor under the hood of something in the middle of the Wrangler story any chance of that theres a hemi in one of them?

the one in the pic above has half doors man.
im not to sure how i feel about it yet im sure it'll grow on me, it dosent look as mean as the generation it replaces.
looking at it again...i'm sure i'm really feeling the full rear bumper. and about a hemi? could Chrysler really be that cool and finally put a v8 under a factory Wrangler?

very very nice.
the only things i don't like are the tails. i think they should've stuck with the same ones that have been on jeeps since forever

We can tell someone is not a jeep guy. There has been many changes over the years.
Any how I just noticed it has friggin door handles. What it up with that? I never seen real door handles on a wrangler. Of course I don't see many that have doors but those that do don't have handles.
upon further looking i've come to the realization i don't like the dash at all. doesn't look very trail friendly.

Dash looks the same as it always has. Just a a little more curves and round guages.
Ferrari those are streached. The spy pics of the four door make the back door seem smaller than the fron't and it is not at all that long. I really don't see those ever really going on a trail, how would they turn.

Under AMC's supervision the CJ7 was available with a V8, probably still a bunch of them out there.
looks nice whats the price tag on jeeps now days?

A friend of mine has one... 304 I believe?
"i promise we won't get drunk, and go out in boat in the dark, stand up in the boat and fire the gun into the air unless we have life jackets on."
Actually starting in 72, the CJ5 was stretched to accomodate a v8. My 72 was one of those with the 304. My 77 CJ7 had the 304 as well. I don't want to turn this into a pissing match at all, but every since Chrysler bought Jeep in 86, They don't look as off-roadish and trail ready as they used to be. The YJ (yuppie jeep) and TJ (toy jeep) will never end up at my house.

Wow. I love the way that looks.
Not too sure on those 4 door pics... but the 2 door looks sweet.
the new wrangler info is now on jeep.com. I personally will be one of the firsts to get one. i have a 2002 now with the I-6 and getting 12mpg kills me so i like seeing a new motor with more hp. I'm pretty excited for it. The jeep dealership around me said they wouldn't be able to order me one until at least oct of next year. Whether thats true or they were just guessing i dunno. The dealer said they would prob be about 700$ more then the previous year since every year they go up about that amout.
I hope they don't make an SRT version of the Wrangler.
They were not meant for speed at all... I don't care how cool it may seem, to me it's a disgrace. When I think Wrangler, I think of creeping up steep ass rocks and flipping over, I don't think of 0-60 or 1/4 times.
