Ok so ive been a car whore in my 6 months of being 16.
first car. 1990 civic hatch dx. never drove it (bad trans) sold it
second 1984 pontiac fiero. fried wiring harness after 2 months fixed it sold it
third 1986 Fiero GT V6 .. Fried piston in it after about 2 months. stupid pos sold it
fourth 1987 Fiero GT v6 . Froze engine (bought it like that) never drove it . sold it
and finally dun dun dun a 1991 honda crx si!. woo hoo. This is definatly the best car ive owned. No troubles since i bought it 2 months go. Its got a mini me swap. (d15b2 bottom end d16y8 vtec head.) Rebuilt 30 k miles ago. fully porterd/ polished. Its got the si tranny which has shorter gearing and wow for a 1.5 liter motor its quick. Its got a chipped computer,short shifter, strut bar, Kyb shocks and susp technique springs, front strut bar. Full poly suspension, Solid engine and tranny mounts, 13" steelies baby,
But best of all its got launch control. Which allows me at the beginning of a race to push the clutch in and go full throttle and itll stay at 5000 rpms until i drop the clutch then until 8 mph itll stay at 5000 rpms then itll launch like a mofo. Vtec kicks in at 5000 rpms so it takes off quick.
the previous owner ran a 15.4 at 90 mph with it. not to shabby Itd do a lot better with a header and a different intake manifold tho.

Lol headlights are dead cuz they have holes in the lenses lol. There is 2 holes per headlight that are from rock chips about the size of a dime and the x's covered the holes perfectly!

just buggin man i went through a ton of cars i thought were cool too, but later realized were just mile'd out peices of @!#$ with crappy bodies and even worse powertrains.

meh i take no offense. You just gotta put into fact that this is a 1.5 liter motor. 1.5 which is the smallest usdm ef + chassis motor you can get. (besides the 1.3 in the insight). I think that its damn impressive. Plus its on 13" winter tires just to add to the time..
z24 = 2.4 liter. which is wayyyy bigger . ecotec. cmon man. you gotta be kidding me . The ecotec would be a better comparison to a honda 1.8 liter. Give me a break. Your comparing a really good 2.2 ? liter motor to a 1.5... I mean thats like comparing 2 differnt v8 motors say a 305 and a 350. Just cuz there both v8s doesnt mean they will compare the same. get my drift?

Yes, it's only a 1.5L, but it's also only pulling a car that weighs less than 2000lbs. I wonder how much power you have at the wheels?

i like crx's it almost was my first car untill i seen this 90 z24 that i had for my first car. if i was you get it painted and do an engine swap.
It looks damn good flat black. I wouldn't even paint it (especially the camo that you want), but that's just me. Throw some wheels from a 99ish Si on there and call it a day.
I noticed that in one of the pics you have some nice rims, and the other one you dont. Did you take them off, or was it sold without them....
I bought it without them . the rims are Integra fat fives. Im working on rims for it right now. Im content with the motor thats in it. Im gonna turbo it. So if i blow it up theres tons of these bottom ends out there cheap to free. woo hoo
