What body style letter is the malbu classic 04 or 05? Also what is the best chat forum web site to visit for these? Thanks.
They made the malibu classic in 2005, as well as teh new desing malibu in 2005. They did like they did with the cavalier and the Z-24/LS Sport thing. The first half of they offered the malibu classic. Thew second half of they offered teh new design malibu, and teh new malibu MAXX. The MAXX is a 5 door hatch back, were the malibu and malibu classic only have 4 doors and a trunk. As far as a letter is concerned, you mean PLATFORM, i don't know what it sits on. Hope it helps. The classic and the new malibu and malibu MAXX will have different platforms though. The classic will have it's ownm were teh MAXX and the new malibu share the same.

N-body i believe...or atleast they were before the style changed.
N-body: 1997-2003/4 IIRC,
Delta Platform after? Either that or the Epsilon... I could be wrongo though.
If it's not network news, it's probably the truth getting out.
Some people are like slinkies: Not really good for anything,
but they still bring a smile to your face when you push them
down a flight of stairs.
could be epsilon. thats what the G6 is built on.
like above, same as the G6, i think the new Malibu is as well. Epsilon is out already?
1997-03 Malibu & 04-05 Classic is the N-body. Classics ONLY come with the 2.2L Ecotec.
04-present Malibu: Epsilon.

^^^ huh?
The Malibu comes with a 3100 V6.
I don't even think it had a I4 option.
Unless Classic is a Trim level... I know about Olds Aleros and Poncho Grand Ams, but not Chev Malibus so much... they were a bit of an oddity.

The "Classic" was more of fleet Malibu (N-body) vehicle for the 2004-05 (not sure for 06). "Malibu" name was dropped from the N-body model and was put on the Epsilon version in 04.
In 1997-1999 Malibu (N-body) did come with TwinCam 2.4 I-4. V6 was an option.
2000-03 all came with 3100 V6 standard.
Confusing I'm sure.

Ahh... didn't realise that it was a trim level.
And the V6 was a better engine for the chassis.. hands down.

The "Classic" was not really a trim level by GM's eyes. It was a model.
There was Chevrolet Malibu (new)
There was Chevrolet Malibu MAXX (new)
and then there was Chevrolet Classic. (old)
And V6 was really nice on the old N-body. Peppy.

You sure? They would have had to of been swapped in there, or it was an 03 model with Classic badging or something like that.
I was under the assumption that the Classic model has no additional options, and the features it includes are:
2.2L Ecotec motor
Remote Keyless Entry
Power Windows
Cruis Control
Body style is exact same as 2003 Model.
i could of swron the classic model was w/ the v-6 and fully loaded.....
i drove in one, and it was pretty nice, i don't see why everyone hated that body style malibu so much....i liked it better than the grand am
My mom had a 2000 Malibu LS, loaded everything, leather seats, moonroof....the works. I thought it was a fairly nice ride, I didn't mind the body style at all.
i think my step dads malibu is a classic , and i know his is a V6 , i think his is a 04
