Holy smokes!!!

I saw in Car Craft a while ago that some company was building ~68 Camaro bodies, but I never figured someone would be charging over Half a million for the cars...

The Baldwin-Motion SuperCoupe's body, while resembling a 1969 Camaro in the front grill, rear and overall shape, actually shares no sheet-metal or dimensions with that car.

Each of the 12 SuperCoupes the company plans to sell will be hand-made according to the customer's desires, said Lawrence Jaworske, Motion's chief executive officer. That 700-horsepower engine isn't supercharged, for example. If you really want, it could be.

so its not a first gen, its not any gen

That's cool and all, really cool...

but way too much money. I'd rather have a real '69.

If I were filthy rich and it somehow held a lot of sentimental value, maybe. Still pretty cool.

I payed $4500 for a nice 68 RS back in 1989 or so.. I have seen restored ones go for $40K or a little more.. That's about it. Loved that car, not half a million worth though.

With that kind of cash, I wouldn't be looking in the GM stable unless it was Corvette or something. I'm thinking of a manufacturer... it starts with F, ends with I, and has an "ERARR" in the middle.
