I love how Grand AM GT's look, if only they came with Manual Trans.

the only reason the GT's don't is b/c the 3400 would rip apart most of the 5 speeds that GM has. You can swap a 5 speed from a Baretta GTZ but it's a lot of work.

I saw a newer GA with manual transmission but it was a 4 door and I believe it was a 4 banger.

Oh, I know the 4cyl comes in a manual. hard to find though. I wanted one but the dealer couldn't get me a new one, there was only one in the province and it was a base model. I wanted Loaded 4cyl 5spd. I wish every day I had factory ordered one.

I'll just have to get a G6 GTP 6spd next

There's GrandAmGT.com but there are a group of asshats there that aren't very helpful at all.

I've had N's for the last few years (since 99), and I love them.

N-body.net wasn't the biggest board, and after Currie left it to a guy that went by Gimli, it had really declined... Gimli tried, but it hasn't recovered. I think he's given up on it as well.

I refer most 4 cyl guys from the n-body sites to this site. People on here will know more about your car than people on there will. I used to own a 1898 GA GT 2.4, 4 door. It was a great car. Ran a 15.9 with intake and mufflers (not cat-back...just mufflers )....not bad for an auto Got my cavalier after than and ran almost 1 second quicker with the same mods. Gotta love it..lol.

If you have any question about motor oriented stuff....ask here first. You'll get a much quicker responce. I'd only use any of the n-body site for suspension and interior/exterior questions.

the only question i had is if a cav/fire short shifter would fit the GA since its the same tranny/motor. its my daily driver and im not fixing it up. just want better drivability.
