Does it come with a David Hassolhoff "certified" curly mullet?
Some of those last gen f-body ones were ricey as all hell. one of them even has F&F pep boys light-up car seat covers and ghetto chrome wheels. Plain and simple KITT was a 3rd gen f-body...everything else is ugly made-up horse $hit.

i talked to my dad about maybe me and him doing one as a project he said maybe lol
There was a replica made, I saw it over a year ago on Ebay. The guy even had the voice recorded by the guy that did the original. I forget how much it went for, but it was an awful expensive car.
Well, since it appears "Knight Rider" the movie is going to be filmed, this is a good as any for die hard "Knight Rider" fans to at least stick that front red light bar thingy that goes back and forth on the front of the car. I'm thinking this time a Cylon from original "Battlestar Galactica" needs to be driving the Knight 2000 with synchronized red light bar thingys. Well,m it is any idea :-)

Yeah
It's NOT just a reg 3rd Gen F-bod, the front air dam was revised quite a bit to allow for the scanners and the 3 sets of fog lights, that, and if you wanted to make a real replicar, you'd need to track down the veined rims with the black hubcaps (both of which are stupidly hard to find).
When I was all about replicars (I was going to do a V8/3800III with SC Fiero Conversion and put a Pisa Finale kit on the car... never got the money together), I thought very hard about this, but decided not to... the interior would have been a joke, and I couldn't have driven it.

I WILL build one of these someday

The thing that I'd like to see is a replica of the Black Beauty from Green Hornet made out of a 300C.
That would rock.

i was told once by a friend that the night rider edition was either released then pulled quickly do to moving vehicle light restrictions or pulled before production....
dreams are useless if you do not possess the abilties required to make them your reality.

they had a few of the replicas at gm nationals in carlisle this past year... along with one of the companies building one on the spot... it was insane to see how much wiring goes into one of those...
there is a replica running around phoenix , doesnt have the dash done
and there is atleast 1 in southern california , that is done inside and out
there are pretty sweet cars

nope K.A.R.R. was kinda grayish with a yellow scanner
In all seriousness that was what i wanted to build when i turned 16. I found all the stuff to build the car and then when i wanted to buy the car my dad said i couldnt have it because it was too much HP for a 16 yr old. Slowly my dream was crushed. But i will definitley have to make that car one day.

K.A.R.R. was 2 Tone Black (top) and beige, and the Yellow scanner.. yes. Also, K.A.R.R. had a Black interior to KITT's beige.
There was a made for TV movie with KITT Vs. KARR, where KARR was a 4th Gen Firebird (not T/A) with a front end made to look like the Pontiac Banshee Concept, and a yellow scanner... I think once KITT's programming was installed into it, the scanner turned Red... I don't quite remember though.
