im geting a 91 talon AWD turbo, it has full 3" exhaust from turbo back, no cat, mangaflow muffler, and a tdo5-16G turbo..... any one know what kind of power it should have, what kind of boost i could run with the stock fule and computer, with only a FMIC?

thanks

For some reason 15 psi comes to mind.

yea my friends awd eclipse has, 3' exhuast, same turbo, and intercooler piping, witha stock intercooler running 15psi. i belive he told me that was the max for his turbo.

The 3" exhaust is a bit of overkill but oh well, it won't hurt anything.

Stock fuel system is the limiting factor with that setup. You will have to watch your EGT and see but I would think up to about 15psi should be fine. Resist the urge to turn up the boost, the stock fuel system will not keep up and if you run lean, bye bye pistons.

The only way to know for sure (elevation and temp dependent) is to meter it and see what it can handle. That turbo is good to about 19psi or so, but you will need at least ahigh flow fuel pump and likely 550cc injectors at a minimum before you can raise the boost.

Good Luck

You should be able to get into the 12s with that setup. Where is the probe installed for the EGT gauge? If it right in the exhaust runner (number 1) then you should stay under 800 deg C with about 600 being ideal.. If I remember correctly.

Don't forget about this page The 1000 most frequently asked questions about DSMs

3 years is a long time to sit.. Did you store it, or at least start it once in a while? All your parts could be dry at this point, carefull the first time you fire it up if it has been sitting all this time. Check everything. Rubber could be cracked, vacuum lines too. No oil on the parts.. Could be tricky to get running again. Once the oil has circulated around, everything should be OK.

With those injectors and proper tuning you should be good to at least 18psi, maybe more. I've only worked with Walbro pumps and RC engineering injectors. Maybe a dyno session is in order just to be sure. That said, 12s will depend on the driver

thats what i have on my 91 tsi 5spd awd, i have 3' turbo back exhaust with no cat, with a dejon tool intake, but im running the stock turbo and stock fuel setup and im running 16 psi. with the stock intake and exhaust at 16 psi i run a 13.8 at 100mph and with your 16g you should be able to run 16psi easly, and it should put you in the low 13's, if you have the fuel setup to suport it. i was selling mine but i have a guy thats going to buy it from me for 1900 cause i have to get rid of it. but it depends on what kinda 16g you have there a big 16g the evo3 16g and the regular 16g. the evo3 and the big 16g and good around 350 and the normal 16g its good for 300. i would go to slowboyracing.com and dejonpowerhouse.com and buschurracing.com and shepracing.com. they are some big names in the ddsm world and i have alot friends that run parts from them and there all in the low 12's and 11's. i hope thats any help, i have alot more websites for dsm's, if you want them, just let me know.
