On Friday night, I took to the car to a 1/4th mile track. The first couple of runs were crappy, and the best that I got was a 14.1 @ 101mph with a 9.2 @ 80mph 1/8th mile at 2.293 60ft.
Today I went to a 1/8th mile track with better track prep.
The very first run, I did a 8.73 @ 79mph with a 1.96 60ft. The next couple of runs were about the same.....8.7.
Mike Karas came out to the track, messed around with the rear suspension, lowered tire pressure, and I ran a couple of 8.5s @ 80mph with 1.88 60fts.
Mike lowered the tire pressure a little bit more, launched higher, and busted off a
8.42 @ 80mph with a 1.83 60ft.
Not too bad for a little ol' 2.2 ohv pushrod motor

I bet that I can get the car to run 8.3s if I launch harder.
With more boost, better tuning, and some tweeks in the suspension, I bet that I could get this thing to run high 7s.

definitely not bad for a 2.2 OHV......

The boost was hitting no more than 13 psi. I cant wait to see what it will do with more fuel and 20-25psi

I think our track opens in a month. I better be ready by then to try and beat those times on my 13 psi

The car felt BADASS on those tires. I would have never thought that my car could ever pull that hard off of the line. On the first 8.5 run with the 1.87 60ft, I thought that something was getting ready to break in the driveline. so I shifted slow into 2nd......The front body of the car lifts up and then it sets me back in the seat!!! I can still launch a little bit harder and higher in the rpms and probably do a 1.7 60ft.....I cant wait to see how that feels

. The fuel pump is working o.k. I have not tried running the tank low. When I was driving around on the street with the slicks, the car was bogging with a little bit more than 1/2 a tank of gas. I filled up at the gas station, and romped it on the street on slicks without any problems.

You have come a long way buddy....From a 75 shot on stock crap - to a fully built motor/tranny /turbo kit running 13 psi and possibly could run 20+ psi!!!
