how many of you out there are running the 2.4 on paved or dirt circle tracks? Anyone have engine problems. I thru a bearing so motor is getting rebuilt and builder knows of oil problems with these motors! I am wondering if anyone has had good luck with these motors or what you are doing to make them last!?
2.3 oil pump. MUST do it. we run 4 cars and blew up several til we swapped to 2.3 pump
is that an easy swap or does it involve mods?
You have to drill and tap some holes and drill a new feed hole. Search in the performance forum. Lots of pictures. A 2.4 pump cavitates (pumps air) at high rpm thus junking bearings and then rods. A 2.3 pump is the only way to make one last.
look into i believe it is zyaaa he has a good mod if you need to run a stock oil pan etc
