So I ran the cav at the track last night. Keep in mind this is a 2200 auto. I made 3 passes and have them listed below. My mods are in my profile. Does this seem about right?

PLEASE swap it man, looks good but is slow lol
I didn't ask about a swap, I am just trying to see if the times are correct for what it is. The motor just 500 miles shy of 100,000.

Another reason that I ask this is because I had someone tell me on here that my car should be in the low 16's high 15's with it's current state depending on the driver.

No that seems about right Larry. Low 16's-high 15's are times for pretty much stock ld9's and eco's.
With that being said, now I can say do a swap lol.
I would say that's accurate for a 2200 auto, low 16's and high 15's are usually seen out of bolt-on 2.4l and Eco autos.
Thank you, I had someone tell me that I was just a crappy driver and that my car should be at the least low 16's.

not w/ the 2200. that certain someone doesn't know his cavaliers.
also you did add some weight w/ new bumpers, skirts and rims. don't have that many performance mods to help you.

Thats exactly what I was thinkin with the weight of the kit, the Big mouth front bumper is pretty heavy. I figured that would slow me down a lil bit. I personally think i'm dead on where it should be running at.

The kit doesn't really add much weight. The killer is the auto tranny. The 2200 needs the 5 speeds better gearing.
If you're going to swap anything I say just put a 5 speed in it.
I bet just the 5 speed would get you close to low 16s.
eh-co
eh-co
eh-co
granted my car is the optionless 1SV model, with the eco and the 5speed I ran a 15.6 stock not even knowing the car yet
now that I know the car.......with minor weight reduction, dr's, and not even all the bolt ons done, I can click off a 14.7 in 60* weather.
if you want to be a LN2 tuner and figure all about that motor, I'm not here to stop you. but if you wanna biuld a seriously fast J I heavily suggest the eco or a v6 swap. IMO I would shy away from the 2.4's because those motors are discontinued and aging. all the new aftermarket is in the eco

Those so naive, so hard headed, so narcissistic, that think that by their own efforts can single handedly change the world, are always the ones that do.
I ran a 16.5 with DR's and all the mods in my reg on a 70* day.
I think I can get lower than that but that was my best yet.
17.1 and 17.4 were my first two runs with the same mods and no tune, on a HOT 100*+ day.
You're right where you should be from what i can see.

dirt slow, seems right to me
but seriously..

its probably because they thought you were 5 speed.
larry, is your car 4 or 3 speed?

the most intelligent thing i've ever read on this forum.
