Im going to the track at the end of the month and im not sure how much gas i should run in my car. i have a 2.2 ecotec sunfire and evertime i ran on a full tank and ran a best of a 16.53 stock. I just ordered a 63mm tb, lower motor mout, b and m shift kit, and a arm bushing. I was just wondering if you guys could possibly guess what times i would be running im really ittchin to get in the 15's. Oh and lastly what is your guys input on tire pressure? I was thinking 28psi in the front and about 35-40psi in the rears, what do ya think?
1/4 tank, and 35psi in the rear and 26 in the fronts
15.2@89mph 2.171 60ft. 9.830 1/8 R.I.P. "LULU"
I would run less than 1/4 tank(your car is to slow to worry about feul slosh) the max tire pressure the tire can take in the rear(it actually says on the tire you have to look for it) and lower tire pressure based on traction. start high and let out run by run as nessecary.
also make sure you basic stuff is good like air filter and stuff. make sure the car is cleaned out and the trunk is empty. then take a massive dump right before you leave for the track
if you want to go further while remaining "stock" there are a bunch of places on the care where you can take off weight and nobody will know. but that is for a different thread

plz to tell where i can remove any extra unneeded weight other than the spare tire lol.
you won't loose a ton of weight, but the little bits add up and if nobdy sees, or if doesn't effect you, who cares.
childseat anchors under rear dash
all carpeting and innards in trunk
insulation under carpet
the bong(people will argue me, I wouldremove it just becouse it is useless)
ask ohv notech about cutting steel frum benieth the trunklid and hood(try just doing a search)
that is just what I can think of off the top of my head right now without loosing any drivability and keeping your interior and radio and ac. you won'tloose a ton, but its better than loosing nothing. and there are more spots depending on how much you are willing to live with out.
and if you like having a back seat, just leave it in. its not as heavy as you think.

IDK, the "fold down" part is pretty heavy. But, the easiest way to get faster is a ton of ExLax. You'll get lighter.
I had friends with just about stock cars strip their interior and it made no noticable difference. I would run lots of tire pressure in rear and around 20-25 in front man. Fresh oil, filter, air filter and plugs are a good start as well.
Your friends must be @!#$ty drivers. Less weight = a faster car, it's not like we're making something up here it's pure true physics.
Sunfyr 05, you need some registry update love too, and an intake.
