Skwirl track video - the new #1 n/a ecotec on JBO
HOLY SHI*&! Thats about what My car ran on the 80 SHOT! VERY NICE!
Very good job!!!!!! Awesome to see!!
FU Tuning
Very nice.
Just imagine how much faster you'd be if you had 2.25" exhaust and a 56mm throttle body like all the experts in the performance forum recommend. <

Very nice runs!! With traction that thing will be REALLY close to 13's.

Skilz, have I ever told you you're my hero? Hahahahahahahaha. Yeah, PJ's car is probably the best indication of why people should always be wary of who's advice they take... Hell, I've been around for the build and tried to talk him out of a lot of stuff but you know what, he managed to shut me up too.
As to the vid, PJ went to do a first run while I (the cameraman) was still helping Festa put my drag radials on his car... The 14.35 was that first run... I got down there in time to catch the second, which was the 14.4, and hence my "holy sh*t" reaction because I honestly wasn't expecting much better than a 14.6 maybe a high 14.5 out of it.... then to see a 14.4 that almost tagged Owen out I was like WHOA! Then I called PJ to tell him before he got to the slip booth, and he's like "Dude who cares my first run was a 14.3!" Thus commenced a lot of very giddy goofy screaming and jumping around that had the 4 dudes in the stands with me looking at me like I was a maniac. I probably wouldn't have been nearly so excited if out last dozen or so track runs hadn't been pretty much complete disasters but it was a very VERY good day.
Thats when we decided to write the N/A No Boost No Juice on the back window because everyone thought that he was spraying... The announcer read it and said "I think that boy's drinking nitrous"... The festa goes and knocks out a 13.7 on my radials it was a great day all around. Unfortunately, when I tried to tape the next runs, something went wrong with the camera and it was still adjusting the exposure automatically even with the cam set on manual... It would go completely white and fully exposed, then go completely dark, and i couldn't get it to stop.... so even if i had recorded the runs, it would have been pretty much audio only.
Keep in mind, not only stock bottom end and stock diff, but completely unstripped interior and stock timing advance until the last run of the day, which got screwed up because of a bad launch. So his best run was on stock timing advance with just basic bolt ons and the patriot head and cams. And a 7500 rpm redline
DOT legal tires too. I still can't believe it and I was there. We just got back from victory dinner and I'll be acting pit chief again next weekend and I'm not letting him hit the track without every ounce of non-functional weight removed... I have high hopes for The Flying Squirrel but I'm not going to be cocky and make guarantees...
So, with PJ topping the N/A list, another former Jersey J in the NA top ten, and two Jersey J's in the top ten boosted eco list... does that make the Jersey J's the fastest J club on the .org? Hahahaha....

yea my second 14.35 run was a bogged to hell launch.. the car bucked pretty bad and I still cut a 2.1
the car is a monster, and this week I'm going to be fine tuning my fuel curve, messing with timing and a few other tricks up my sleeve to try and hit as close to a 14.1 as I can.
baby steps at a time. I only expected around a 14.7 out of the car and my first run was a 14.3
I'm more stoked than anyone out there.
my car is full interior, open differential, 93 octane and most of the runs were stock timing. last run i figured i'd advance a little up top a measly 4 degrees. next week I won't be so nice.
I'm going to do a little more as far as weight reduction but I still don't really want to strip the car. I know jay is going to try and convince me otherwise, but right now I don't want to mess too much with something thats obviously working very VERY well
is this proof enough that the patriot stage 2 head isn't a peice of crap?
how bout the tsudo header I got from EBAY
I LOVE MY CAR!!!
well i was goign to save for the DC header but if the tsudo is working this well for you and owen then i may do a lil more research and rethink my choice. Good runs PJ.....very good runs.
Congrats man... the 40* weather certaintly helped. I know my car responds quite well to the cold.
You're going down in 07! I'll be hitting the dyno soon hopefully, figure out my issues...try and break the 200whp n/a mark.
Oh yeah, you're still a pig f***er for getting to race in december... bastard guy, I wanna go racing.
You still have a very easy .1-.15 to cut on the 60' and 13.xx is almost there. My friend's bone stock Eco with only the GM S/C ran a 2.07 with my drag radials on (P215/60R14) and with me in the car as passenger. No motor mounts, tranny mounts or anything.
Which DR's size are you running with?
Good luck on hitting 13's in the future and congrats on the great runs.

Great times! I saw 14.47 and I was screaming at my wife to come look at the computer screen. I was like "You're not gonna believe this @!#$ Jess!". Again, awesome times, and thanks for making my wife laugh at me for getting so excited
I'm proud of you boy. You set your goal and achieved it. Now just make sure your next goal is just as ridiculous so I don't regret making you a sponsorship offer....oh wait....that's tomorrow
This proves a few things too:
1) The performance forum "gurus", "genius'", smartasses" or whatever you want to call them AREN'T ALWAYS RIGHT!
2) That everything I've said about the Patriot head and it being a big power mod IS TRUE.
3) That your one fast fu<king squirrel!

I'm with Jay, gut it for the last track day of the season. Last chance this year, might as well make it count.

or move to AZ and run all year round. LOL
Desert Tuners
“When you come across a big kettle of crazy, it’s best not to stir it.”
yea but the temp did play a role, track conditions were IDEAL and I got very good traction without sacrificing top end punch
I'm runing 15" steelies in the front with 225 50R15 BFGoodrich G-force drag radials
in the rear I have my stock 14" steelies with 195 70R14s
the fronts i had at 25psi, and the rears I had aired up to 40psi so i have a lot of room to drop the fronts down and I plan on a 5k RPM launch next time out
I have a few more tricks up my sleeve for this weekend... all will be revealed if I get to run
if not, you guys will have to wait until next year... which will be started off with a return to the track... still n/a and with quite a few more mods piled on top of the ones I have.
I'm going to be trying a few things nobody else has tried/ thought of before and see if it really helps or not. Look for the know it alls in the performance forum to start changing their notions about what parts are the best n/a
the race to 13s all motor is going to be a tight one
