I'd say a 75 shot (at least) that will keep your internals from breaking. Full exhaust would help, and get some lighter wheels.

Move your Iat back to its stock place, it's not doing anything for you really.

iat needs to be where it belongs, the computer pulls timing where it needs to based on temp.... to help save the motor.... i think it affects mileage too...

if the kid 'can't ' drive and pulls a 13.8 assuming consistant 14.0s....u might be SOL. Cause here at sea level, my buddy's friend ran his 05 GT on 20s and got 13.7,13.8 and a 13.9. He can drive..but again.. on 20s. The new mustangs are what 300 and 320tq stock. Not bad. Even my best time of 13.9 couldn't beat an 04 with similar mods.

honestly your probally gonna need at least a 75 shot to say the least and full exhaust. what were you running with the 50 shot at the track? remember, you can run crappy at the track and still trap a high mph. what was his trap speeds? cause i mean i ran a 13.90 but it was at 103mph which corrected would be a 13.60 so gotta consider that too.

he ran 13.65 one time at lapeer dragstrip one time, the rest of his times were in the mid to high 14's because he couldnt hook up and at mylan which is a way better track he ran low 15's but i cant talk to much i have yet to get a base time but i will take the advice and move the iat back. thanks

hopeless

you need either a 75-100shot
full exhaust
light wheels (steelies are fine) with decent rubber
and an auto trans interceptor or B&M shift module

verts are heavy.

take out your stereo @!#$
take out the spare tire, jack, and anything else that isn't bolted down that weighs alot (leave your interior in place please)

and hope n pray for a 13 second pass

I'm going to lean towards hopeless unless you at least throw a higher stall converter in your auto. You're going to get spanked

if you had a stick i'd be a little more hopeful...

lol, i was thinking you had a stick, damn he is going to kill you. I hope there was no $h!t talking about his car and if there was, please i hope no chicks were there. I hate to say this because i hate stangs and just about any other car that is not a z24 cav just , but he is going to spank you, sorry.

i figured everyone would get a kick out of this post but seriously does anyone think ill have a motor left if i run a 100 shot one time ,and even though i hate this guy at work ,racin outside of work is a different story or i could just borrow my friends 97 vette w/75 shot zex kit and win the easy way!

i wouldnt go with the 100 shot... thats just me... your motor isnt worth the race.... he would have a lot more bragging rights if you blow your motor trying to beat him....assuming he's a jerk

do some tranny mods, 75 shot, exhaust, tires, take things out of the car to reduce your weight...

Go race him and tell us how it turns out. Oh yeah, and put your IAT back where it belongs.
