What year(s) of Cavaliers are the most reliable overall ? I'm an original owner of a 01 cavalier & am almost at 300 k so I know that year is golden. I would also like some feedback on ecotech vs ohv in terms of longevity. I am interested in the 2003-2005 models, but they don't seem quite as reliable. Thanks guys

They can be just as reliable as the OHV in my opinion. I know the ecos had a oil pump issue that was fixed in 04 I believe. Also some seem to have a timing chain issue, but not as bad as the 2.4 twin cam from previous years. I have a 03 sunfire with the 2.2 ecotec and has 360 000km (225000 miles?) And still runs great. Does have a newer tranny with 180 000km but as for the motor it's original. Just keep up on them maintenance wise
