Engine Swap

me an my best friend brother did a engine swap on my 2000 cavalier 2.4 auto i didn't know what i was getting my self into he was doing most of the work but he was so disorganized lost a bunch of my bolt and really dint care as it wasn't his car so i nee to know where can i get replacement bolts for every thing from the motor mounts, exhaust, alternator, starter ac compressor i need all replacement bolts to make things worse he took all my tools so i just can't got to the junk yard.

If he took your tools, how do you expect to get the replacement bolts back on?

Junkyard would still be your best bet. Also, I'd get a new best friend because he sounds like an @!#$

As far as bolts, as long as they are not 'torque to yield' you can borrow from a donor car (junk yard) or for new, GM parts department.

As far as your tools, your friend is a dip@!#$, and I'd go get your tools back from him.

Whenever I pull an engine or a transmission or anything that involves a big selection of bolts, I always label plastic sammich baggies and seperate the bolts in them. Helps to keep track of them so they dont get lost, as well as know which bolt goes where. Sure it's time consuming, but it's time well spent.
