Hi all,

New to the j body cars... long time v-8 chevy guy here LS1 L98 and trucks.... anyways, I just got a 95 cavalier 2.2 and after checking everything out found that there is a crack in the head. long story short, i can get a 93 2.2 engine that has less then 18000 miles on rebuild for 200 bucks complete with the corsica its in. Question is, will the 93 2.2 work in my 95 cav? anything i need to know or should i just get a head and be done with it... just a work car.

doesnt anyone know if a 93 2.2 will work correctly in a 95? i know that the 95 is roller cam and the 93 isnt, but will that affect the pcm or anything, otherwise the engines are basically identical. some please let me know.... thanks

I just did this swap retaining the 95 EGR, Intake Manifold Assembly (fuel rail, injectors, sensors, etc...) and it worked flawlessly. If you have any problems, feel free to shoot me an email at JoelAllenClear@Gmail.com. PS: If you do, pictures will help with your problems.
