I have a friend with a 1997 Escort (Not ZX2) he has a 5 speed just wondering if I should be able to beat this?

Is anyone going to kennedale or denton thursday or friday, I have been waiting to test out the cav but I dont want to go alone and be all bored?
I have a 2004 Cavalier LS 5-speed with some no name ebay intake. Only other modes I want to do are header and full exhaust.
