OK got some questions

What is the difference between the J-body platform and the Delta platform besides being newer? Does the J body have some advantages over the delta platform? And how can there be a platform on a unitbody car? Also If the cavalier has a steel structure then why did it do so bad in the crash test? One last thing is the reason people hate cavaliers and firebirds is because of there being alot of plastic in the insides? Thanks guys!

difference = everything is basically different but the 2.2l ecotec i believe
advantages over delta = probably none. the j platform is way outdated
crash test = its a cheap american economy car, waht did you expect?
reason people hate = see above

J platform and Delta platform are totally different animals. Other than both being FWD small cars, they're not similar at all. Nothing will swap between the two. It's kind of like comparing a Geo Metro and a Hummer. Well, not really... but I hope you get the point.

Cavaliers do bad in crash tests because they were designed a long, long, long time ago. Things change over time.

No one here hates Cavaliers or Sunfires. We might not like Firebirds all that much, or maybe we will. Who is "everyone"? Import lovers? Ah well, to each their own. I like my Cavalier just fine thank you very much.

(Show me a car nowadays that DOESN'T have plastic on the inside... yeah.. ha ha... they all do)

Ok What I meant by everyone hates is go 2 autoweek post a message bout cavaliers. And you will get no respect from hardly no one! And review sites give the cavalier so many bad reviews its pathetic. Ok yeah but it was redesigned in 1995. So did the structure get beefed up years after the test? So the cavliers are like riding with no brakes then? Dangerous to be in one or what?
