I have a 95 cav it has the OBD II connector and when you hook up the scanner it cann't communicate. If I go down to my buddies shop and hook up his 2 grand snap on scanner I read the system. I am wondering if it's chevies half ass year were it's the OBDII connections with the OBDI system or it's the true OBDII in the first years? Thanks for all the help.

Most J-cars in 1995 are OBD1; 2.3L manual transmission cars, and all 2.2L cars. The only exception were the 2.3L automatics, which were all OBD2.
